Our primary and intermediate school programs feature strong academic instruction in all subjects. The entire SJS faculty is committed to developing an outstanding program of academic excellence rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Our program offerings are developmentally appropriate, challenging, creative, and relevant. Our students experience a comprehensive and vibrant learning program that will enable them to meet the challenges of Middle School.
Our academic programs use a dynamic educational process which is cognizant of individual needs of children. We understand that each child approaches the challenge of learning with a unique set of skills. There is concerted emphasis on balanced literacy through a well designed program that has a strong focus on reading, writing and speaking skills.
The Math program focuses on both the process and the product of mathematical thinking. Our curriculum challenges students to explore math concepts from a multi-sensory approach. Children learn that there are many ways to solve problems. Science and Social Studies are core subjects that bring theme based learning to the curriculum and enable children to see literacy and thinking skills in action. We tie these all together through the lens of our Faith.
